With Valentine’s Day around the corner, there is no better time to plan some couple-inspired workouts. February 14th usually coincides with lots of food and chocolate which can often lead to us feeling guilty, or not enjoying the holidays as much as we should, as we feel like we are cheating on our diets and goals.  Setting some time aside before the holiday festivities is a great way to spend some time with your significant other, all while sticking to your fitness goals and avoiding those guilty feelings. Here are some great workouts you can do with your partner, from the comforts of your own home, before the Valentine’s Day festivities.

Workout #1

A1. Squat Jumps: 4×12

Face each other and hold hands to motivate each other

A2. Resistance Band Alternating Row: 4×12

  • Provide your partner with the necessary resistance during their row

A3. Push-ups: 4×12

  • Face each other and add in a hand clap to keep it fun!

A4. Sit-ups w/ Medicine Ball: 4×12-15

  • Sit in front of each other and pass the ball back and forth

B1. Reverse Lunges: 4×12

  • Hold your partners hand and lunge in sync to keep your balance

B2. Planks w/ Shoulder Taps: 4×20

  • Go from your knees if your struggling!

B3. Stability Ball Hamstring Curl: 4×12-15

  • Lay on your back and dig your heels into the stability ball as you pull it in

B4. Burpees: 4×10

  • Alternate to give yourself a bit of a breather

Workout #2

A1. Medicine Ball Squat: 4×12

  • Pass the medicine ball to your partner after each rep

A2. Wheelbarrow Walk: 4×20

  • Holding your partners feet as they walk on their hands

A3. Kettlebell Swings: 4×15

  • Can substitute with glute bridges as well

A5. Burpees & Back Extensions: 4×10

  • One partner does back extensions while

A5. Medicine Ball Russian Twist: 4×20

  • Sit back to back and pass the ball to your partner

A6. V-Ups: 4×15

  • Use Kettlebell or Medicine Ball for added difficulty
